Like all of you, we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We cherish the chance to celebrate collective accomplishments, and that is why we are changing Spring Into Action into a virtual giving experience and canceling our in person event. We want to keep you and our staff safe so we can all continue to support BLC clients.
You know that BLC clients are among the most vulnerable all year long, but risk of infection and death is even greater due to health complications and unstable housing. We are grateful to be part of a community who stands in solidarity with BLC clients all year long, especially now. Gather with us, virtually, and show your support.
For our clients who are experiencing homelessness and are living with physical or mental disabilities, the risks of the Coronavirus are magnified. Over 1/3rd of our clients are at a high risk of contracting COVID-19. Here’s why:
King County Public Health suggests washing your hands as one of the most effective ways to stay safe from the virus. Access to clean rest-rooms and hygienic cleaning stations is an obstacle our clients face each day. Right now, we are especially grateful for your support to keep our programs up and running. We are still able to deliver legal aid to people 1:1 in our offices and in the field on the Justice Bus.
Spring Into Action accounts for 1/5th of our event revenue for the year. Please consider making a gift now and help us keep our clients safe and healthy.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Shannon Wong at firstname.lastname@example.org or (206) 686-7252 x112. Thank you so much for your support.
