We love how much support our community provides to SCLC and the people we serve, and Susie is part of that community. Not only is Susie a proud sustaining champion of SCLC, she is taking time out of her day to serve as the interim development coordinator at SCLC. We asked Susie why she supports SCLC, and this is what she said:
I support SCLC because I want all people to have their basic needs met, and I believe it is the job of society, as a collective, to care for and nurture those who need help the most. SCLC provides life-saving support and empowerment to people in need, and I am very proud to be part of this caring community.
Susie, thank you for being part of the Seattle Community Law Center. You are extraordinarily talented, infectiously energetic, and a positive voice for the community. Your contributions make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities seeking financial stability in King County.
Susie will be working with the City of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods starting in May of 2016, keep an eye out for her in the community and at future SCLC events. Thank you!!
