We support those who are protesting racist violence. We fight against the weaponization of whiteness, white supremacy, and the systemic racism that shapes the practices of policing in the City of Seattle and cities across the nation. The continual escalations by law enforcement resulting in the deaths of Black and Indigenous people must end.
The image [a fist in the air with text reading Black Disabled Lives Matter] is by Jen White-Johnson who tweets, “in virtual protest and uprising I’ll be continuing to create artwork that amplifies underserved Black & Brown disabled bodies. The work is for everyone. Everyone should share in solidarity to ensure this message rings loud and clear in times of unrest.” @jtknoxroxs
