Comedians

Dewa Dorje

Dewa+Dorje+2023-08

Dewa Dorje is a working class, first gen, Tibetan American single mom with PTSD.  She also loves to talk about yak dung. People are nuanced. Dewa was named  an Undisputable Genius of Comedy, by The Stranger newspaper. She headlines “Dee’s Nuts: a comedy talk show” monthly in Seattle. She features for comedian Hari Kondabolu, and has a podcast Dank Moms. Her comedy riffs on growing up first gen in the 80s, parenthood, and dating. More info at: www.dewadorje.com or on Instagram @dewadorje / Twitter @theonlydewa.

Yogi Paliwal

lol-2024-yogipaliwal

Yogi Paliwal hails from the Pacific Northwest and now resides in Brooklyn, N.Y. His comedy has been featured at the Sasquatch Music Festival; he has opened for Marc Maron and Tig Notaro; and his late night talk show The Early Late Show with Yogi Paliwal was featured at Bumbershoot.

His eccentric personal style, and commanding stage prescience add to his ability to breakdown biases people hold about one another. His standard for his comedy is to always be consistent, have substance, be hilarious and unpredictably silly. His act is a hint of genius in a stew of snake oil.

If you were to ask Yogi how would you describe your standup? He'd say it's "intellectual absurdity." If you asked him what that means he would say, "My material isn't smart, but you need to be smart to see how stupid the joke is." More info at: www.yogipaliwal.com or on Instagram @yogipaliwal.
