Concept: Social Security has issued many regulation and policy changes so far in 2024. This webinar will explore what the major changes are and how these updates will affect our clients. The changes include In-Kind Support and Maintenance (“ISM”) rules; overpayment related rules such as administrative waivers, recovery rate, and payment plans; and expansion of eligibility to Compacts of Free Association (COFA) applicants. Our webinar will provide citations to regulations, emergency messages, and/or POMS where applicable, and also offer practice tips for helping clients affected by these changes. Our webinar will be presented by Kate Means, BLC attorney, and Hillary Lovell, Directing Attorney, BLC’s Disabled Homeless Advocacy Project.
