One important aspect of our work is closely following administrative rules proposed by federal and state agencies that could have an impact on the clients that we serve. Most of the comments that we submit are related to Social Security. But, once in awhile we comment on rules proposed by other agencies, like HUD.
HUD recently proposed a rule that may make it more difficult for transgender people to gain access to shelter. We oppose this action. Led by BLC Staff Attorney, Peter Grieser, we submitted this comment to HUD opposing the proposed rule (see below).
